How do I find x using the Pythagorean theorem ?

Pythagoreom theorem is A^2 + B^2 = C^2. So lets assume that 12 is B. So A^2+12^2 = (6 sqt 5)^2. So A^2 + 144 = 180. Now subtract 144 from both sides and we have A^2 = 36. Finally we take the sqt of 36 which is 6. So x = 6.
