Since this is simple integer factors. For a quadratic of the form ax^2+bx+c, there will be two values, j and k, which satisfy to conditions:

jk=ac=-18 and j+k=b=3, so j and k must be 6 and -3

So factored this is: (x+6)(x-3)

X^2 + 3x - 18

2 numbers that multiplied give you -18
Those same 2 numbers have to add up to 3

6 x -3 = -18
6 + -3 = 3

(X + 6) (x - 3)
