The Roman Empire began to deteriorate and become weak. Eventually western side of the Roman Empire collapsed. Now we have the Eastern Roman Empire, hanging by a thread. It was now called the Byzantine Empire. It survived until the fourteenth century, when they began arranging marriages with the princesses of the Ottoman Empire. The result of which helped them survive a little longer.

Answer: Ottoman
