After a heavy rainstorm, vegetation on a hillslope was completely removed. How will this removal of vegetation affect the relative amounts of infiltration and runoff that occur during the next heavy rainstorm?

The removal of vegetation will allow more runoff during the next heavy rainfall. Vegetation stops water from running off, and this removal will adversely affect the effect of rain. Infiltration will be decreased due to the increased moisture content of the soil as well as running off of the water.
