To find the prime factorization, simply divide the number by the prime numbers in increasing order until you arrive at a prime number...

88/2=44

44/2=22

22/2=11

11 is prime so we divided by:

2,2,2, and 11 so the prime factorization of 88 is:

88=2*2*2*11 which is the same as saying

88=2^3*11

It should be 2*2*2*11 if I'm correct. You must divide it by the prime numbers. That is a 100% must do.
