The Kuiper Belt is a disk shaped region of space beyond Neptune that is home to millions of asteroids. The region extends from a distance of 30 astronomical units to a distance of 50 astronomical units from the Sun. As well as asteroids, three dwarf planets can also be found within the Kuiper belt and these are named Pluto, Haumea and Makemake.
