What was France's involvement in the Revolutionary War?

France didn't want to get involved in a fight between America and Britain.
France started their own war with Britain which divided Britain's troops.
France saw the value of having colonies in America and sent troops to help the British.
France sent money, supplies, soldiers, ships to aid the Americans.

France was an ally of the U.S, but it didn't want to get directly involved in the war because their military wasn't strong enough because of the defeats they had received. They did send supplies to the U.S in order to contribute to the war indirectly. The answer is D!
