The event which was the root cause of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict was the establishment of the state of Israel back in 1948. The conflict originated from the Intercommunal violence in Mandatory Palestine between the Israelis and the Arabs back in 1940, which resulted in a 1947-1948 Civil War. The conflict still remains and can be seen in different levels.
