Using the counting principle, to find the number of ice creams possible you would multiple the number of ice cream types by the number of topping types.
We already have the total number of ice cream flavors and the total number of
one-topping sundaes so we would need to DIVIDE instead of multiply.
60/12 = 5
There are 5 toppings to choose from.

The answer would be 5.
You have to multiply the two variable which would be the amount of ice cream flavors and the number of toppings to get the amount which is 60. Since we don't know the number of toppings, we divide the whole amount (60) by the variable we do know (types of ice cream; 12) and we get 5.
