Speciation can be defined as the the evolutionary process by which a species gets converted into the distinct species. The evolution can be due to many reasons.

Speciation can be caused due to geographical isolation which means geography can be one of the reasons for the isolation and speciation of species.

Some other examples are behavioral isolation.
