Lamprey fishes have all dorsal fins. They lack paired fins on their sides, rather they have large eyes and seven pairs of gills, which help them in attacking the prey and exhaling any poisonous gas released by the prey, during the attack. Their these adaptations are characteristic of the family AGNATHA.
