Points are expressed in (x,y) format so any point which has a y value of zero lies upon the x axis. So any point (x,0) is on the x axis. In this case it would be the points:
(-4,0) and (2,0)

both are true because they do not have a y coordinate, meaning they dont move off of the x-axis
