Methanol has a density of 0.79g/ml. Calculate the mass of 589ml of methanol.

To calculate the mass of the methanol solution from the volume of the solution, we need the density of the said substance. Density is the mass of the substance per volume occupied. We simply multiply the given volume with density to obtain the mass.

Mass = 589mL (0.79 g/mL) = 465.31 g methanol
