Binet and Simon developed the first objective intelligence test in order to: identify children who would need special help in school.
Binot and Simon first created the test to measure The intelligence of autistic children so they could develop a method to help them study. But as it turned out, their method could also used to measure the intelellegence of normal children. Until now, their method is still used as a basis to conduct an iq test.
