4-0.5x=4-x
Add 0.5x for both side
4-0.5x+0.5x=4-x+0.5x
4=-0.5x+4
Subtract 4 for both side
4-4=-0.5x+4-4
0=-0.5x
Divide -0.5 for both side
0/-0.5=-0.5x/-0.5
0=x. As a result, x can not be negative in this problem. Hope it help!
