y=|x-7| because in order to go to the right you have to subtract the amount from x

Answer:

the answer is y=|x-7|

Explanation:

we know that the general translation of some equation y=f(x) to the left or right direction by 'a' units is given by y=f(x+a) ; where if 'a' is negative then the translation is in the "right direction" and if 'a' is positive then the translation is in the "left direction".

so in the given question we have the equation y=|x| for it to be translated 7 units in the right the resulting equation is y=|x-7|.
