Read the excerpt. From “I Wandered Lonely As a Cloud” by William Wordsworth I wandered lonely as a cloud That floats on high o’er vales and hills, When all at once I saw a crowd, A host, of golden daffodils; Beside the lake, beneath the trees, Fluttering and dancing in the breeze. What kind of figure of speech is used in the first two lines of the excerpt? personification simile metaphor hyperbole

A simile is used. "I wandered (as) lonely as a cloud that floats..." Similes compare two unlikely objects using the words 'like' or 'as' so the answer here is simile.
