Well, GE is actually used in everyday items! Genetically modified food that is used to have a longer "shelf life" or is used to fight off diseases such as the Sunset papaya cultivar, which was genetically modified to create the "SunUp" cultivar, resistant to Papaya ringspot virus (PSRV)!
