15. How is the extinction of the mastodons related to the rise of agriculture? They both occurred during the end an Ice Age. The increase in vegetation caused different predators to evolve. They are not related in any way. With the mastodons gone, vegetation was able to grow more.

Answer:

The correct answer will be option they are not related in any way.

Step-by-step explanation:

Mastodons are the extinct genus Mammut which resembles mammoth in appearance which disappeared around 10,000 years ago. They were the keystone species (the species on which other species depend in an ecosystem) of savanna ecosystems.

They were largely dependent on the woody vegetation which caused the lush grasslands landscapes that supported large population of species including elephant, sloths, horses.

Thus, option they are not related in any way is the correct answer.
