To evaluate for the second leg of the triangle use the Pythagorean theorem:
144=a^2+64
a^2=80
a=8.94
A=1/2bh
A=1/2(8)(8.94)
A=1/2(71.52)
A=35.76 units squared

We can use the side angle side area formula
Area = ½ • side 1 • sine (A) • side 2
Area = .5 * 12 * sine(65) * 8
Area = .5 * 12 * 0.90631 * 8
Area =
43.50288
Area =
43.5
