72,0000 is divided by 12 so you have 72,0000gallons of water divided by 12 pools you could Either do repeated addition , subtraction, or division so 72,0000 is divided by 12 which is 60,000

There is a total of 72,000 gallons of water to be distributed equally among 12 swimming pools. Each pool holds the same amount; therefore, 72,000 divided by 12 would equal 6000. Each pool would hold 6000 gallons of water.
