You must mean Pythagorean Theorem :)

The theorem states that for any right triangle, the square of the legs (the two sides that form a right angle) will equal the square of the hypotenuse (the long side)

The written formula is: a²+b²=c²

This formula works for any right triangle.

The Pythagorean Theorem is "a squared + b squared = c squared." This is used to find the third side length in a right triangle when you already have the lengths of two. A and b represent the lengths of the perpendicular sides, and c represents the length of the hypotenuse.
