If a parent cell has 46 chromosomes and undergoes meiosis, each of the resulting cells will have how many chromosomes?

The cells resulting from meiosis are always called haploid cells, meaning that they have half the amount of chromosomes that the diploid (parent) cell has. 23 is your answer. Also, note that there will be 4 haploid cells resulting from regular meiosis.
