How do preventive measures for communicable diseases differ from those for noncommunicable diseases

Wash your hands after coming in contact with a sick person. As simple as it can get. Or something like this: The person is in the hospital and very sick, so you have to wear a gown, mask, and other BSI clothing. (Body Substance Isolation.)
