First change it to y intercept form by isolating the y
-2x-4y=-2
+2x +2x
-4y=2x-2 Now divide by -4 to completely isolate the y
y=-2/4x+1/2 Simplify
y= -1/2x+ 1/2
Parallel Slope = -1/2x
Perpendicular Slope= 2x
