Photosynthetic organisms like green plants use CO₂ and H₂O in the presence of sunlight and convert it into an organic molecule, which is a carbohydrate ( glucose).

Carbon dioxide is not considered as an organic compound as it does not contain C-H covalent bond.

On the other hand, carbohydrate ( glucose), which is formed in the process of photosynthesis is an organic compound because it contains C-H covalent bond.
