It help conserve energy so that in summer they can stay healthy. Also alows them to eat a buch of food and it not be so much

For example, pigeons at the park are commonly habituated animals. If a person comes close trying to feed them, the pigeons would fly away. But, after this happens many times, the pigeons come close because they have become less afraid of people, and a person can come closer. Habituation is dangerous for animals and people though because both can be unintentionally harmed by each other.
