Answer: Clastic sedimentary rock

Clastic sedimentary rocks are rocks which are formed by pre-existing rocks. These rocks are formed when pieces or clasts gets separated from the parent rocks by the process of weathering. These pieces or clasts are transported to some basin or depression where they are trapped. These pieces or clasts gets aggregated and compacted to form clastic sedimentary rocks.
