The lengths of the sides of a triangle are (x^2 - 5), (7x - 1), and x. Find the perimeter of the triangle.

You can't get a number answer for this because you can't create an equation from the info you provided, but you can get an expression for the perimeter. We add all the sides together to get the perimeter.
x^(2) -5+x+7x-1=P which simplifies to
x^(2) +8x-6=P
