Power lines sag more between telephone poles in the summer than in winter .Explain why that is so.

Actually the amount of current going through the wire is the major factor in power lines sagging. With peak power consumption in the summer (all those air conditioners running) the temperature inside the wire increases due to the higher amounts of current going through them, causing the lines to sag...external weather and temperature also contribute to line sag.
