the initial few would be 6. because that charge does not change whether she miss for 2 hours or 24 hours. as yiu can see in the equation F(t)= 6 + 12t the 6 is never changing. whereas the 12 changes by a factor of t. t would be the amount of hours and 12 is the rate per hour. So if she worked 2 hours it would be 2 * 12 for the hourly charge which would be 24 and then the 24 + 6 where 6 is the base charge
