Frieda and Joanne are laying a 17 meter track for model trains. They completed one stretch that is 7.44 meters long and another that is 3.61 meters. Round each distance to the nearest meter. About how much more track do Frieda and Joanne need to lay? A. about 13 meters B. about 7 meters C. about 6 meters D. about 5 meters

6 meters because you round 7.44 to the nearest meter which is 7 then you do the same to 3.61 which is 4 then you add 7+4 which equals 11 then subtract 17 from 11 which is 6 so its C. about 6 meters hope it helped:)

1st: Round each number. 7.44 rounds down to 7 and 3.61 rounds up to 4.
2nd: Add the two. 7 + 4 = 11
3rd: Subtract how much they've already laid from how much they need to lay. 17 - 11 = 6
So the correct answer is C. about 6 meters
