The given statement is

Any polygon with two pairs of parallel opposite sides is a parallelogram.

A parallelogram have 4 sides and a polygon can have 3,4,5,6,7,8, or any number of sides.

So it is not necessary that if opposite sides are parallel in a polygon than it is a parallelogram .

Therefore the given statement is false .

This statement is false, it is not true that any polygon with two pairs of parallel opposite sides is considered to be a parallelogram for it is defined opposite than that. That is why the correct answer in the statement above is that it is false.
