In Edvard Munch's lithograph The Vampire, women can be seen as NURTURING. This lithograph that Munch made had many interpretations through the years. He did not actually entitle it as "The Vampire" but rather "Love and Pain." The interpretation of such is that the man is locked in the embrace of a vampire. But Munch insisted that it was just a woman kissing a man's neck.
