Does resting count as sleeping?

All forms of resting are restorative to some degree. The degree to how much it will impact you is really based on the quality of rest, with full and deep sleep being the most beneficial.

In short, resting is restorative like sleeping.

Resting does NOT count as sleeping. Resting is the awareness of letting your body regain energy, aside from your eyes. Sleeping is when you're unconscious, and your body is completely relaxed.
