Germany had started threatening the German populated areas in Czechoslovakia known as the Sudetenland. They eventually took over all of Czechoslovakia. In 1931 Japan invaded Manchuria in northern China, they also started to invade some small islands. Italy had invaded Ethiopia and other parts of Eastern Africa.
