The tundra is characterized by extremely low temperatures as well as little precipitation, a rocky landscape, and permafrost. Because of these physical features, what type of producers would we expect to find in the tundra?

Given tundra's unique environment, we can expect specific type of plants thriving. The dominant types are lichens, which are considered as the primary producers. Next are the mosses, which doesn't have real leaves and roots. The types of plants living in tundra are usually plants with specialized system because of a unique environment. Flowering plants may live but only limited to particular species.
