The world is divided into hemispheres by an imaginary line that divides earth equally from the poles. All of Africa, asia, and Europe make up the eastern hemisphere. In the western Hemisphere there is North America, Central America, South America, & Greenland. But, the main reason we divide it east to west is because the lines of trade are formed east to west.
