Spores are adapted for survival in a land environment because of its ability for reproductions. These are living organisms that can both sexually and asexually reproduce in order for it to disperse and to survive over long periods of time, even under extreme conditions. Under favorbale conditions, spores have the ability to undergo mitotic division in order for it to form new organisms. They can also be resistant structures when conditions are not favorable.
