“Death is my son-in-law, death is my heir; My daughter he hath wedded.”
This quote from Lord Capulet is a personification about Juliet’s death on the day of her wedding. He means that Juliet has married death. Death has taken away his Juliet which is his heir. And through this line, the audience can see that Capulet disregards the emotional loss of a daughter, but instead fixates on the loss of wealth and loss of an "heir".
