Hi there! Please help:

In 1633, just as Rene Descartes was about to publish “The World” (1664), he learned that the Italian astronomer Galileo Galilei (1564–1642) had been condemned in Rome for publishing the view that the Earth revolves around the Sun.

What did he do after he heard the news?

After he learned of it, he was not afraid that was motivated in the sense that he pushed "The World" to publish his writing. He still continued his decision and with high hopes, he wanted to change the view of the world through his findings and study in Physics.
