i think that it is multiply by 5 cause 1* -5 = -5
5*-5=-25
25*-5=-125

For this case we have a geometric sequence of the form:

-125, -25, -5, -1

We want to find the common ratio between each term.

To do this, the next term between the previous term.

We have then:

\frac {-25} {- 125} = \frac {1} {5}\\\frac {-5} {- 25} = \frac {1} {5}\\\frac {-1} {- 5} = \frac {1} {5}\\

Therefore, the common ratio between each term is:

r = \frac {1} {5}

Answer:

the common ratio of the sequence is:

r = \frac {1} {5}
