The number of ml that are required to prepare 1.00 L of 0.0050 M NaCl solution is 10 mL

calculation

This is calculated using m1V1 = M2V2 formula where

M1( molarity 1) = 0.50 M

V1( volume 1) = ?

M2 ( molarity 2) = 0.0050 M

V2( volume 2) = 1.00 L

make V1 the subject of the formula by diving both side by M1

V1 is therefore= m2V2/M1

V1 =(0.0050 M x 1.00 L) / 0.50 M = 0.01 L

convert 0.01 L to ml

1L = 1000 ml

0.01 L =? Ml

by cross multiplication

(0.01 L x 1000 ml) / 1 L = 10 Ml
