yes it is the same since 1/2 = 1/4 plus 1/4.

The first calculation is subtracting 1/2 while the second calculation is subtracting 1/4 then another 1/4 which is equivalent to subtracting 1/2.

Is finding 9/10-1/2 the same as finding 9/10-1/4-1/4?explain.
