distance between (x1,y1) and (x2,y2) is

D= √((x2-x1)^2+(y2-y1)^2)

given
(-3,4) and (-7,4)

D= √((-7-(-3))^2+(4-4)^2)

D= √((-7+3)^2+(0)^2)

D= √((-4)^2+0)
D=√16
D=4

distance is 4
