In the third part of interphase in the cell cycle, G-2, the cell prepares to divide.

Remember that in G-1 of interphase is growth. In G-1 the chromatin (relaxed chromosomes) condenses into chromosomes). In the S phase DNA is copied, and in G-2 the cell prepares to divide by breaking down its nuclear membrane.

Interphase is the longest part of the cell cycle, mitosis, then cytokinesis follows it.

The image provided is a diagram I drew for biology. There are plant and animal cells!
