6=x²-5x
minus 6 both sides
0=x²-5x-6
factor
what 2 numbers multiply toget -6 and add to get -5
-6 and 1
0=(x-6)(x+1)
set to zero

x-6=0
x=6

x+1=0
x=-1

x=6 or -1

1/x = x/6 - 5/6 solve for x
