The wets attacked the Prohibition.

During the 1920s decade there was a major opposition to the Prohibition, which had banned the sale and consumption of alcoholic beverages, as it was really difficult to enforce and because it had triggered the emergence of a black market controlled by criminal organizations.

These were the main arguments used by the anti-prohibitionists, also known as Wets, to defend their viewpoint and stand against this regulation.
