African cultural influence commonly came out of it. African-Americans started bringing back the spirit of African culture and embracing their heritage that was taken away from them when they moved. This was evident in all spheres of behavior, from the music they listened to, to the clothes they wore and haircuts they had. They would hold lectures on African history and African culture.
