The coordinates for the vertices of a right triangle are (1, 4), (6, 4), and (6,1). What is the length of the longer leg?

Use distance formula, sqrt[(y2-y1)^2+(x2-x1)^2].

sqrt[(1-4)^2 + (6-1)^2]

= sqrt(34)
